Services
What we do here.
Pivot and sprinkler design
We design centre pivots and sprinkler systems, and the pumps, mainlines and filtration that supply them. Every design is specified on what suits the farm, regardless of brand.
- Centre pivot layout and design
- Pod and sprinkler systems
- Pump and mainline sizing
- Designs modelled in IRRICAD
Drip, pumps and headworks
Drip systems for vineyards and orchards, pump stations, filtration and fertigation, designed and specified as one system.
- Drip field design
- Pump station design
- Filtration and fertigation
- Fabrication breakdown for installers
Reviews of existing systems
Systems wear over time. We check pressure, flow and power use on existing pivots, sprinklers and drip, and show where water and power are being lost.
- System checks and auditing
- Pressure maps showing weak spots
- Flow and water use reports
- Upgrade options with a budget
Surveys and drone mapping
RTK feature and contour surveys, drone photogrammetry and multispectral mapping, and bathymetric surveys of storage ponds and dams. Multispectral maps show crop stress and irrigation faults across a paddock.
- Feature and contour surveys to RTK 2 cm
- Drone photogrammetry and multispectral
- Bathymetric surveys of ponds and dams
- Staking and as built data
Automation and support
We supply, install and service Motorola IRRInet and WiseConn automation, and support systems already in place. Staff training shows your team how to run the system well.

Questions
New Zealand, answered.
Do you work in New Zealand?
Yes. Ardal Water Solutions Ltd works from Christchurch across New Zealand, led by Bill Johns, Project Lead, New Zealand. Engineering and design support comes from the team in Mildura.
Do you design centre pivot irrigation?
Yes. We design centre pivots and sprinkler systems, along with the pumps, mainlines and filtration that supply them. The design is specified on what suits the farm and the soil, regardless of brand.
Can you check a pivot or K line system that isn't performing?
Yes. We check pressure and flow across the system, find the weak spots and report on where water and power are being lost. You get the options to fix it, with a budget, before you spend on new gear.
Do you prepare freshwater farm plans?
No. We don't prepare or certify freshwater farm plans. The irrigation design, survey data and water use records we produce can feed into your farm plan, and we can work with whoever prepares it.
Do you charge travel in New Zealand?
Travel is quoted up front, so you know it before any work starts. It depends on how far the farm is from Christchurch and how many visits the job needs. Send the location and what you are planning, and we'll come back with a scope and a price.
Where are you based in New Zealand?
Christchurch. Bill Johns works from there across New Zealand and meets clients on the farm. The easiest first step is the enquiry form or enquiries@ardalwater.com.au.
